EYE EXAMS

Routine Eye Exams

An eye exam will not only determine if you need eyeglasses or contact lenses by measuring refractive error, but can also reveal important clues in your overall health. In addition to determining your prescription requirements, a routine eye examination by our optometrist can uncover eye diseases as well as indicate other health conditions.

Children’s Eye Exams

Children’s eyes exams are especially important as the learning process is closely tied to vision. Children are unaware of what normal vision is if they’ve never experienced it. If your child has trouble with his or her schoolwork an eye exam can rule out any possible underlying visual causes.

Visual Field Exam

A visual field examination is an important test used by our doctors to measure peripheral vision – a test that can uncover neurological issues related to headaches and be an early detection for glaucoma.

Retinal Eye Exam

If you require a retinal exam the optometrist will dilate the pupil with a mild solution to observe and evaluate the eye interior including the tissue and the optic nerve.

Sensitivity to light side effects will last for approximately 2-4 hours.

Eye Diseases & Other Health Conditions

An eye exam will screen for refractive error, eye teaming problems, strabismus (crossed or turned eyes), amblyopia (lazy eye), glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and any other problem signs that could lead to vision loss.
